Trezor Self-Custody Week Sale: Which Wallet Is the Best Deal?

Trezor's Self-Custody Week sale runs through August 6, 2026, with discounts of up to 20% on Safe-series hardware wallets and Trezor Keep Metal backups.

The headline discount is good, but the cheapest device is not the right answer for everyone. Safe 3, Safe 5, and Safe 7 serve different buyers. Paying more only makes sense if you will use what the more expensive model adds.

These were the prices displayed by Trezor for the Finland and euro-region store on July 29. Your final price may differ because of location, taxes, or shipping.

Bitcoin-only versions of Safe 3, Safe 5, and Safe 7 were also listed at the same sale prices. The discount is applied by the store, so there is no public code to enter at checkout.

Best value: Trezor Safe 3 for €47

Safe 3 is the easiest deal to recommend to someone who wants a modern Trezor for occasional transfers and long-term storage.

You still get the parts that matter most: a dedicated signing device, on-device transaction confirmation, Trezor Suite, PIN and passphrase support, and secure-element protection. The lower price mostly costs you comfort. Safe 3 uses buttons instead of a touchscreen and does not have Safe 7's wireless features.

At €47, it is a sensible first hardware wallet and a reasonable spare device for an existing Trezor owner. It is also the least painful choice if most of your budget should go toward buying Bitcoin rather than buying premium wallet hardware.

Best middle option: Trezor Safe 5 for €103

Safe 5 gets the full 20% discount and adds a color touchscreen. That makes it the better sale purchase for someone who expects to use the wallet regularly and wants address checks, PIN entry, and navigation to feel less cramped.

The extra €56 over Safe 3 buys a nicer daily experience, not a fundamentally different custody model. That can still be worth it. A device that feels easy to use is less likely to sit untouched because every transfer feels awkward.

Safe 5 is the balanced choice in this sale. It costs less than half the Safe 7 sale price while keeping the touchscreen experience many buyers care about.

Trezor Safe 7 for €224: buy it for the features, not the discount

Safe 7 has the smallest percentage discount at 10%. It is still the right model for a narrower group of buyers who want Trezor's flagship hardware, full iOS and Android support in Trezor Suite, encrypted Bluetooth, and Qi2 wireless charging.

Those features matter if your phone is central to how you manage crypto, especially on iPhone. They matter much less if you connect a hardware wallet to a computer a few times per year.

Should you add Trezor Keep Metal?

Keep Metal is discounted to €79 for both the 20-word and 24-word versions shown in the euro-region store. It gives recovery words a more durable offline home than an ordinary sheet of paper.

It does not fix a bad backup plan. A metal backup can still be lost, stolen, photographed, or stored beside the wallet where one event exposes both. Choose the version that matches your recovery format, stamp every word correctly, and keep the finished backup private.

Buy Safe 3 if price matters and you want reliable cold storage without premium extras.
